Fresh Off The Press from Author Jodi Lynn Copeland

What Happens In Vegas… is now on bookstore shelves around the nation. Wahoo! I have to admit my story in this anthology has been met with mixed reviews. It seems that readers either love it or hate it. I have to wonder if this is due to the first person nature. I have never written first person before, so I don’t have much to base the results on. For every reviewer or reader I hear from that loves the story, another really dislikes it. It is an interesting thing to be sure.

What about you? Have you read Hot For You, my part of the collection, and how did you feel about it? Did the first-person narrative make a difference in your opinion do you suppose? On an overall level, I know this story is on the same heat level as what I write for Aphrodisia, so if you have read my work there and enjoyed it, you will hopefully enjoy this one, as well. If first person is not your cup of tea, you may wish to steer clear.

After months of waiting, What Happens In Vegas… is now shipping from BarnesandNoble.com, and beginning to show up in bookstores across the country!  Boy, it seems like ages I’ve been waiting for this one to release. I think they spoil me at Kensington, as I often go to contract on a book less than a year before it releases. Vegas was bought by Harlequin SPICE in late 2006, so it ended up being a year and a half from sale to release. Still, not too bad, but a little hard on those of us without too much patience. *G*

 In other good news, the next Vegas anthology, yep there will be two, is now turned in to our editor at SPICE. This anthology has a paranormal edge and a bit darker feel. I will be sharing an excerpt from my novella, Hot For Revenge (Ryan’s story, the brother form Vegas I), very soon on my newsletter group. You can join through the Contact link above.
